Assistant Professor in Hospitality Management

Penn State Berks, a college of Pennsylvania State University located in suburban Reading, Pennsylvania, has had a Hospitality Management program for more than 40 years. We are expanding and enhancing the program and invite applications to fill a tenure line position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Hospitality Management to start in August 2022.

The Hospitality Management Program at Penn State Berks uniquely offers an Entrepreneurship Option which aims to enhance entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skills of graduating Majors. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management or closely related field with a focus on Hospitality Management by the appointment start date. Candidates should have a program of research in Hospitality Management and must have successfully defended their dissertation before June 1, 2022.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in the following areas: Hotel Management, Financial Management in Hospitality Operations, Hospitality Information Technology Fundamentals, Hospitality Facilities Management, Organizational Behavior, and Hospitality Human Resources, conduct research leading to publications in refereed journals, advise students, serve the college, and build and maintain relationships between the University and the local hospitality community.
